Somebody estimated the prajapaati community in gujaraat to be of about
15 lakh prajaapatio....that means each prajaapati has to
contribute about 7 rupees per year...which is equal to about 2 paisaa per
day.....see now it does not seem to be a large amount...as it sanandan-muni says
in the slok 2.50.227 of naarad puraan:
"Having observed
how even a heap of red kaNku (collyrium)
disappears
(by its daily use in puujaa or by a married woman to show her
saubhaagya)
and
how an ant-hill
becomes a high and huge heap of earth
(by slow but continuous dragging of earth particles by ants
from their building of their underground home),
one must
utilize every day by
engaging one's self in
dharmik daan,
dharmik study
and
dharmik karma.
That a very big
ant-hill
is built by a very small ant
with very small particles of earth
is not due to
the great physical power of ants.
Sheer hard work
is the cause."
