Prajaapati Vishva Aashram Foundation (PVAF) is blessed to continue today ....LEARNING ABOUT LIFE AND ITS SCIENCE....which in ved is called aadhyaatmaa - the science of aatmaa (soul)....aatmaa which empowers everything in this creation called universe, earth, humans, animals, plants, non-living beings, planets, solar systems, galaxies....some of which.... we see and we do not see....we understand and we do not understand....we believe and we do not believe, we fight for and do not fight for....we like and we do not like....we love and we hate....we are jealous about and we are indifferent about...we long for and we just do not want....all these perceptions which eternally exists in dual forms.....they are creations of brhmah who is the creator of aatmaa....who is the parmaatmaa or supreme aatmaa..

..THIS SCIENCE OF AATMAA is called aadhyaatmaa is key to our daily co-existence with our fellow creations....either to co-exist for happiness or un-happiness....is an individual choice based on free will granted by our creator brhmah....

  1. smruti GNaan is obtained by learning from teaching, reading and remembering what has been conveyed by devo and humankind as interpreted and promulgated by devo and mankind.
  2. vedangaa, shaastra, itihaas, puraan, manu-smruti  that are promulgated, developed through rationale and experience and transmitted by dev or humankind is smruti. GNaan (knowledge) of creator brhmah and the creation which has been given to the creation by direct revelations by brhmah-self in the minds of brahmaa-dev and the rest of the creations emanating from brahmaa-dev. 
  3. A code of laws promulgated and developed by humankind. 
  4. Different darshan (philosophy schools) define, express interpret smruti differently as follows:

    4.1    advait vidaanta:  smruti GNaan could be valid or invalid depending on the source and content. 
    4.1    vishistaa-advait vidaanta:    smruti is the gained through perception which is regarded as a valid means of gaining GNaan. smruti is caused by

            -  sadrsya = seeing similar things,
             -  adrsht  = effect of unseen things,
            -   cintaa  = deep thought process, 
            -   saahacharya = association with things

    4.2    nyaaya: smruti is GNaan which is attained through perceptual experience of special type. This GNaan may be either yathaarth (true) or ayathaarth (untrue). But neither of this types is pramaa meaning cannot be validated.
     
    4.3    nyaay-vaiseshik: smruti is a recollection caused by impressions on the mind of things.

    4.4    advait/bhatta miimaasaa: smruti is a cognitive phenomenon consisting of perceptual experience and also recollection.   
  5. SHruti GNaan is different from the smruti in that SHruti is GNaan (knowledge) of creator brhmah and the creation which has been given to the creation by direct revelations by brhmah-self in the minds of brahmaa-dev and the rest of the creations emanating from brahmaa-dev.  All ved texts are classified as SHruti.
