Just now i visited the website especially for prajapati`s. I really feel proud
for those who had taken this initiative. It is a inspiration for all those who
want to serve their community. I am also a Prajapati from Punjab. My Name is
Surinder, aged 27 yrs and food tech Engineer working with Pepsi in India.
I had a suggestion to include a matrimonial column to this website in order to
connect Prajapati Samaj. I am myself looking for a girl of our community.
Can you provide any help in this regard.

At Prajaapati Vishva Aashram Foundation (PVAF) an email such as from you makes
all the volunteers very happy....happy that now we will come to know another
prajaapati and his family and his samaaj on this planet earth....and we at PVAF
are as proud of PVAF web site as you have felt after visiting it...we hope you
will daily visit the PVAF web site to learn and share as much as you wish ....
PVAF's home is the website at www.prajapati-samaj.ca and we pray daily to
bhagvaan that all the prajapatio in the world will one day meet at this home and
be with each other to help each other to grow and prosper in life....
Our webmaster SRii bhavin mistry has planned to create a database for matrimony
on the PVAF web site as part of the major restructuring of the website he
started last year. This restructuring has created a very interactive web site
which all prajaapatio around the world can use to say what they want to all
matters of life. As you must have noted during your visit to the PVAF web site
you can post your comment on any news item or other posting and also can start
your own discussion on the MESSAGE BOARD....One could rarely find such a intense
interactive website.....
bhavin is working continually to bring a whole bunch of new features but his
problem is time....since he created PVAF website on his own initiative guided
and mentored by his elder prajaapatio he has been trying to get help from other
prajaapatio in building and maintaining the web site....but this help has yet to
come...thus the web site development is rather slower than we would wish
for....and presently bhavin has gone back to school to get additional
qualification in computer technology and this means with his intense course work
he has very little time right now to do web site expansion....bhavin will be
free from his studies in December 2003 and then he will be focusing on creating
the matrimonial database that you and others have requested....this matrimonial
database is a priority at PVAF...and this matrimonial database will also have
sections for each area such as Punjab, Gujarat, Hariyana, Delhi, Uttranchal and
Karnataka where PVAF has made contact with prajapatio....
In the meanwhile it will help you and others in Punjab if you would help to set
a Punjab page on PVAF just as Bilimora has done in Gujarat...it is easy to set
up such a page....on this page we can set up a sort of matrimonial section which
will not be databased but could be quite useful till bhavin can create a
database...please let me know and we can do this very quickly...
In the meanwhile please tell us about yourself, about your family, about your
prajaapati samaaj in the city or town you live in Punjab....
On a personal note, my roots are from Navasari/Surat area in gujraat in your
country....my grandfather moved to East Africa in early 1900...followed by my
father and then my mother and me in 1940's...and then I along with my brothers
and parents moved to Canada in 1970's....
I live in Edmonton which is the province of Alberta in Western Canada...My
family here consists of my wife Hansa and sons Bhavin and Dipesh...Bhavin is 26
years old and has returned to university to study latest computer
technology...Dipesh is 23 years old and is studying for his law degree after
completing his B.Com degree...I am a professional civil engineer with a degree
from Poona University (Maharashtra, India) and my wife is a professional general
accountant...we have our own consulting business of project managing community
programs and infrastructure development projects...
There are about 20 prajaapati families in Alberta...in Toronto Canada there are
about 700 pRjaapti families....and in Canada there would be about 1000 pRjaapti
families.....
I am very excited to get acquainted with you and your family and your pRjaapti
smaaj in the town your are in Punjab....if you and your samaaj are interested
you can have a Punjab PRjaapti page on PVAF web site as noted above on which you
can directly post the news about your community....PVAF web site is for the use
of all pRjaaptio and pRjaapti smaajo in the world to communicate with each other
and through friendship help each other to progress and prosper in life....

Thanks for such a quick response. I can feel through your words a sense of
belongingness for a person of same community. Well about Me & My family, I am
Surinder Singh B.Tech in Food Technologist working with an MNC Pepsi as a QA
Executive at Kanpur city of UP.
My family is residing at Amritsar( City Of Golden Temple) in Punjab.
I have one younger Brother & three elder sisters( all Married in Home town).
Our family business is whole sale Fruit dealing in Amritsar. Our Prajapati
Community in Punjab is mainly known as Kumhars. They are blend of hindu & sikh
religion. like ours is a mix family My father is a Sikh but mother is from Hindu
Family. I am a non-turbaned (i mean hair cut) sikh guy.
Most of Prajapati`s in Punjab are businessman and have set a good land mark in
Business. Our community is recognized as a very hardworking & progressive
community in Punjab. Only problem is that they lack in Education as yet but new
generation is well off now their orientation has been changed.
My idea for matrimonial was only because, its difficult to find
educated boys and girls in our community. I like your idea of setting a Punjab
Page on this website.
Please let me know how can i be of some help in this regard.
