It is learnt that the US Postal Department is considering issuing
stamp to comemmorate the Dipawali. The two million-strong Indian community has
been urging the USA Administration to take such a step.
President George W Bush honours all religions by issuing messages on
Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and other holidays. This year he also issued a
message on Dipawali Day. He has said more than once, "We all pray to the same
God."
The US government has already issued stamps in honour of Christian, Jewish,
Muslim and other holidays.
